The last two times I was at Albertsons with Doubler coupons at the Lee Blvd store they said they are only going to allow two transactions before you have to take your groceries out to the car. Anyone else experience this?
They announced this on their Facebook page a few weeks back. That they were not going to have any doublers at the store, the only place to get them is in the newspaper. Then what, the week before last was when they said they were going down from 3 doublers to 2 per paper in an effort to explore ways to help people save. Um…giving less savings? Mmmmkay. Their Twice the Value policy does say a limit of 3 transactions…this is on their site…nothing new. Some stores were enforcing, some not. Some now making you go to the back of the line or out to your car and back. All that being said: just heard at my store that next month doublers are G O N E. I can’t imagine they will be gone with nothing new to replace it as a savings incentive because they will get hammered when everyone just goes back to Walmart and Winco. Should be interesting. Hearing from I Heart The Mart’s blog that Walmart is looking at doing double coupons everywhere all the time. More interesting. The whole Albertsons thing ticks me off. OK, novel over – LOL!
So I am looking forward to the Kellogg’s cereal deal. I have (10) $3/3 coupons, which of course comes out to $0.88/box ($26.44). But I can still do three more Kellogg’s gas card rebates this year, so if I manage to get all 30 boxes of Rice Krispies, that’s $30 back in pre-paid discover cards…that becomes a $3.56 money maker! Plus it gets us a little better stocked up on cereal (we’re out at the moment!). Also, I can’t recall for certain, but I sure hope that Rice Krispies is one of the Cars2 promo cereals, because that would be another $35 in cards…this could turn out to be a $38 money maker if I work it right!

My store said they are no longer carrying the doubler coupon ads to make checkouts quicker.
All stores are doing that from what I have heard.
The store in Lakewood, WA allows 2 doublers per transaction, 3 transactions total.
