    June 27, 2011

I am teaming up with Frugal Living NW and Thrifty NW Mom to bring you all a great big list of summer fairs and festivals in the Pacific Northwest. I am tackling the Eastern WA and Central/Eastern Oregon list, Frugal Living NW is making the list for Western Oregon and SW Washington, and Thrifty NW Mom is making the list for the Puget Sound.

    Eastern Washington Fairs & Festivals

Central and Eastern Oregon Fairs & Festivals

Please share any other festivals you love to go to if I missed it. Plus visit Frugal Living NW for the Western Oregon Fairs & Festivals and Thrifty NW Mom for the Puget Sound Festivals and Fairs.

So have you gone to any of these festivals or fairs? Which are your favorites?? I am thinking of going to some festivals and fairs this year and I want to know which ones are must-go-to!

Add some to the Eastern Oregon list – Athena, OR Caledonian Games, July 9-10. Fun if you like things Scottish and herding dog contests. Cute little town and kid friendly. Hermiston has the Lavender Festival on July 9-10 – check it out at http://www.purpleridgelavender.com. Then if you’re really adventurous trek over to Enterprise, OR on Sept9-11 for the Hells Canyon Mule Days & Dutch Oven Cook-Off plus the Cowboy Poetry Gathering on the 9th – all at the Wallowa Co Fairgrounds.

I grew up going to the Thunderegg Days. Good memories. And we never missed the Malheur County Fair. Looks like that is running August 2-6 this year.
Now I live in Portland, so those are just memories.
    Great list!!

I don’t see the Pendleton Roundup in Pendleton, Oregon on the list. It is a huge event and a lot of fun! This year the dates are September 14 – 17, 2011. http://pendletonroundup.com/ Click on the “Upcoming Events” links at the right of the website to get more details, and, “LET ‘ER BUCK!”
