Red Apple Store Shopping

I went in on Friday and did my shopping at Red Apple Store with my $50 Gift Certificate (that I only paid $25 for), however I will tell you that Red Apple is kinda pricey for most things in there. I did notice that the boneless skinless chicken breast was on sale for $1.99 lb. Or you can get a 3 lb frozen bag for $4.99 too! So if you could use some chicken and you have one of the gift certificates that would be one way to save a lot of money! Buy Meat!

It would be like paying .99 lb for boneless skinless chicken breast.

Also they had Asparagus on sale for $1.88 lb — that is a great price this time of year too!

Some Ideas that would be great for these gift certificates are things like Tide Laundry Detergent or Downy, Paper Towels or Toilet paper. Things that are rarely cheap or free. Dog food was a thought as I was walking out the door too.

I just had fun buying random items for my Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend. Pie Crusts, filling ingredients, vanilla, lemon juice..just a lot of things I might normally not get on sale.  PLus some chicken and asparagus..yum! Milk, Chips for taco soup, cheese, lettuce plus lots more items I purchased.

Let me know what you bought with your Save a Lot Gift certificates!  I did spend $10.97 over the certificate, so in total I bought $60.97 worth of groceries for $35.97–a $25 savings!1 Comment
