The rest of the promo deals I was not that crazy about…but if you see something hot I missed please share! I will also be posting my big ole’ doublers post later on this week as well. Happy savings at Albertsons!!
Thanks for such an awesome list! Seems like every week keeps getting better and better at Albertsons!
Just a heads up on the Pam…there was also a coupon in the paper this past week in one of the inserts .35/1 and .50/1 (for the baking variety).
Where do you get the safeway coupon booklet?
The safeway coupon books are all gone in Kennewick.
And I used the Pam coupon last week. The Baking variety was on sale too.
They should be putting more out today Drea…just talked to the ladies that put the books out in stores. 🙂
Ok so I have gone to the Kraft Cheese 5/5 website and it keeps telling me it is no longer available. Is anyone else having this problem?
The smaller size of vanilla is now marked at $4.99 instead of $3.34 (at least at the Albertsons on Lee).
no prints for the 5/5 kraft cheeses 🙁
same price for vanilla here in central point ore. Only yesterday they were ringing up for the this weeks promo so I got one free because of the wrong price and payed 1.68 for two and a 3 dollar catalina. I scored. 🙂
Reminder: If you plan on getting a LOT of these items, as in more than 20, consider calling the store and placing a special order. They should be able to get your items in before the end of the sale.
Really? 20? Personally I think 5 is a good limit, unless it’s tuna or something that they just have a ton of. We only have one Albertson’s in my town and they are always out of stock on stuff. I know a lot of people are reading these blogs and that’s great! We all want to save money, but 20 brownie mixes? or even 10 in one transaction; I think is being greedy. Last week I went 3 times to try and get the super great deal on brownies, but they were out of stock every time, as were the cookies, and on monday so were the cakes/frosting. Even though I coupon, I’m starting to get a bad taste in my mouth for a lot of couponers. Sorry for complaining. It’s just frustrating to do all the leg work, drag your 2 kids around to the store 3 times and not be able to “score.” It’s also frustrating to be looked at and treated like your stealing from the store because of a few people’s tactics. I know I’m not the only one who’s been there. I don’t really know what the solution is, or if there even is one.
Kim, part of what the biggest strategy with couponing is to buy in bulk when things go on sale. You should get 3-4 months worth of that paticular item for your families need. Many times the sales actually require you or advise you to get in 10 item increments, so the answer to that question is no, I do not think 20 is too many. Maybe 20 is too many for you and that is okay, everyone has different sizes of families and different amts of how much they want to stock up. It is not wrong to take 20 if there are whole pallets of the item available.
Now if there is only 5 of a given product on the shelf, I would just kindy ask the checker to see if there is a way to do a special order, but most of the time I have found like on big sale priced items, if the store knows they STOCK UP like crazy. Thousands of cans of broth or cream of soups like last week. Store’s also sometimes have case lot sale. I know many stores WANT you to buy in bulk. Hope that helps….I am planning on a post aoout how much is too much soon.
You can print off two $.50 coupons for Reddi-wip at http://www.reddiwip.com and at coupons.com they have $1/1 Folgers coffee coupons. Easy to stock up for the holidays…
YOu should stop putting the $5/5 Kraft q because it is no longer available (it hasn’t been for a little while) and we just get our hopes high. Very much appreciated-Thanks!
I just learned something awesome from Karrie’s great coupon class last week that might help those who get to the store after everything is gone (I have definitely experienced that numerous times as well). Keep track of the items you didn’t get that you wanted and get rain checks for them (the rain checks at Albies are good for 30 days). If you needed doublers for the sweet deal, save your rain checks till the doublers come out again…then stock up on the item. At that point you will be the only one with that price so you should be able to get plenty of the item. 🙂 Worked great for me last week!
So let me make sure I understand – for example, the brownies last week one would raincheck the .49 cent price or would they be rainchecked the .99 cent price? And I can still use doublers and coupons on the rainchecked price? Maybe that’s the way to go from now on…
Yes, Nichole the raincheck would say Brownies .49 each wyb in sets of ten. And it would also say how many you want (like 10 or 20..whatever) Then you can take your coupons in when they are back in stock and use them. You cannot use expired doublers, but you can hold on to your coupons and raincheck and use them when the new doublers come out again. 🙂
Our Albertson is out of Swiss Miss & Brownie. The manager said the warehouse is out also and they don’t know when they will be able to get them in.
I don’t know how it works but I have heard of some who special order and pay in advance for the order using the doublers. Like I said I don’t know how it works but if you can do that it would be great. Also I think the rain checks are awesome. When I got some a couple weeks ago for the Cream of Chicken soup they put the 29cent price with limit of ten.
The coupon for the Birdseye veggies is inaccurate. The 1/3 specifically excludes steamfresh. There is a BOGO Q out there for the steamfresh that would work with the 4 limit though.
Where are the free pasta coupons at?
On the subject of pre-ordering. I am giving this a try for the first time this week with the Ragu. I talked to the manager who assured me there would be enough, then I explained the deal (with doublers of course). He was not aware and said he would work on ordering more (this was Tuesday). I ordered 20 and do not think this is unreasonable at the price they will be. I also wanted to make sure they had some since I live almost an hour away from the nearest Albertson’s- It’s pretty dissapointing to make it to the store only to have the supply wiped out! (not to mention I’m dragging my baby along with me) I’m interested in reading your article on how much is too much, I’m sure my husband thinks I’ve crossed the line often however we live in a rural community and I like to keep us stocked. 🙂
I live in oregon and have MANY times gone to albertsons and the product I wanted is gone. They have always helped me in this case. You just talk to an employee and they will get things figured out. I just pay for everything, using coupons and doublers, and then i get a rain check that is clearly marked PAID at the top. This past week they were out of brownie and flour, i wasn’t buying all my brownie mixes in one transaction(to fully get my best deal I spread them across 4 transactions). The employee just “scanned” the flour/brownie mix number and i was able to use all coupons and doulblers. I went back and got my flour, but still waiting on the brownie mixes! The employees are happy to help when things are out of stock, just gotta ask…with a SMILE on your face of course:)
Yeah, I have to agree, with getting a raincheck. Just stop by customer service. Sometimes I do buy 20 items of something, but its because I have a large family and I buy extra this time of year to donate to my local food pantry.
Chinet plates are part of that 10 promo and will be $1.99. If you go to http://www.mychinet.com and sign up they will send you a link to get $1/1 chinet plates, making them free if you use your 3 doublers for that particular 10 item transaction for the plates.
I lOVE going to the albertsons off of Leslie and Gage in Richland. If some things are gone (with the buy 10 promos) but others are in stock, they let me do them all (the ones that are in stock as well as the ones that are gone) in the same transaction at customer service (so I can use the coupons and doublers on the ones that I wanted to and I can get the other 7 that didn’t have coupons all at the buy 10 promo price). I love the people who work at the customer service desk and sometimes it is open until 8 pm. Also, last week, if you were there after the customer service desk closed, you could get the manager to do a special order for you at the desk. Now, if only Walgreens and RiteAid would do pre-orders, and/or rainchecks on RRs.
Karrie, are you still planning to do a big ole’ Albertsons Doublers post for tomorrow???
i have a big family and i stocking this week , my friends gave me the coupon they dont use so i can you it and i give the one i dont use so we help each other so i love dd i help my husbend that way on seving money , wen you have 5 kids is had but god bless us all the time . so if you see my dont get mad ,love you guys
Has anyone else had trouble using their “free pasta with purhase of 2 Ragu” coupon? My Albertsons wouldn’t take them because the register beeped and cashier said he couldn’t take both $1/2 Ragu coupon (from Safeway book) and the “free pasta” coupon on the same transaction.
I think the Best Foods mayo (part of buy 10 promo) is a good deal, but that’s the only brand I use and there is a .50 Q that was in last Sunday’s paper. Also the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls (buy 10 promo) with coupons are a good price!
I just started couponing about a month ago and enjoy it immensly! Because of a dear friend taking the time to show me the ropes I have been able to bless other families and my childrens school food drive!! I live in Othello so when I travel to town I am not going to buy 5 items I need to stock up for my family. I will try the raincheck and to pre- order! Thank you Carmen for all your help and Happy money savers for all the great advice!!
