Update: it looks like Spokane/Courdelane area are a special test pilot group for Albertsons Reward program – you get points for everything you buy and once you hit 5,000 points – a coupon for $5 off will print at the bottom of your receipt. (Thanks Joelle!)
The Frugal Life of a Mom is reporting that when you buy Skippy Peanut Butter, you also get 500 points towards your 5,000 for the $5 reward. You see, Albertson’s has a point system that when you use your Albertsons preferred card, if you get 5,000 points you get a $5 Reward coupon to use on your next purchase.
So..here’s the deal:
Skippy Peanut Butter, Buy 10
-use in-ad Manufacturer’s coupon
= Pay $10, get a coupon for $5 on your next shopping trip
Final price like only .50 each!
But, if you had a lot of the Safeway coupon booklets (which is unlikely…but just sayin’)
Buy 10 Skippy Peanut butter’s @ $1.50 each
-use 10 of the $1/1 Skippy coupons from Safeway coupon booklet
= Pay $5.00, get $5.00 coupon for your next shopping trip
Final Price= like getting it all for FREE
P.S. I have personally not confirmed this as working, so please share if it works for you!
(Thanks Frugal Life of a Mom)
