Did you watch TLC’s Extreme Couponing Episode Last night? I really did like it a lot! Made me really feel like I want to go couponing and do a really great transaction for next to nothing too. In fact the extreme part of this made me think of all the amazing Golden Scissors contest winners from happymoneysaver. These ladies are big savers!
I did think that the first lady on the show went too far. I mean she already had a years supply of pasta and then bought 100 more…that is clearly what is called hoarding, and shelf clearing. Sometimes we need to be considerate of other shoppers. Plus it was clear her husband was not thrilled with the fact she was taking over his space and cancelled dinner plans. When couponing takes over your life it is time to take a step back and make some changes.
I did love Joanie who was dumpster diving. She was so cute – and I will admit that I have in the past done quite a bit of recycle bin diving myself. She coupons more like myself, getting 3-4 months supply by stocking up when things are on sale. I do like to try to get a years supply of toiletries or items that do not expire if I can though.
I also loved watching the “Coupon Diva.” Loved how she went around her neighborhood to gather coupons from friends… wow that is dedication! She had me cracking up in the store too when she was telling others to coupon – I must admit I feel the same way in store when I see people buying without .coupons. I just want to say, “Don’t you know there is a coupon for that?”
Then the coupon guy .…that was a LOT of Total Cereal (Not a fan to Total…Yuck!) But it was nice that he donated it.
If you didn’t get to see it it looks like a few more shows are coming up in the future. Click here to see the TLC Schedule.
So anyways, did you get a chance to watch it? What did you think about it all?
