Every Saturday and Sunday in May
The Vancouver Farmers Market is a family and pet friendly place to spend the day, right across the street from beautiful Esther Short Park. You’ll discover fresh produce, plants and flowers, baked goods, delicious food, unique accessories for yourself, home, or garden, and a lot more. Open Saturday 9 am to 3 pm, Sunday 10 am to 3 pm.
Other Fun Family Events
The 7th annual Run for the Cheetah will be returning to the zoo for a fun run/walk designed to raise awareness about the endangered cheetah and to raise funds to support the Cheetah Conservation Fund’s programs. The unique 5K and 8K courses start and finish at Oregon Zoo and wind through beautiful Washington Park. Kids half-mile dash around the zoo culminates in games & cheetah activities at Party for the Planet at the concert lawn.

Saturday, 5/7 – 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.Join the zoo for a fun and interactive safety event for families.
Kids – visit 10 safety stations throughout the zoo, complete the ‘safety safari’, and earn a prize (while supplies last) Parents – coach your kids and join experts in providing important safety tips on bike safety, motor vehicle safety, poison prevention, and more! Tuesday 5/10 – 10am-4pm $4 admission to the Oregon Zoo. Children under 3 are free.
Magenta Theater ” Magic at Magenta”
Saturday 5/7- 7:30 PM to 9 PM Magenta Theater is excited to once again host comic magician Richard Green for an evening of fun, surprises and mystery unlike anything you’ve seen before.
Friday 5/13 – 7:30 PM to 10 PM Magenta Theater Presents: “The Best of Broadway” Music Revue Starring Bonnie Littleton and Jon Quesenberry This revue of well-loved Broadway music includes hits by Lerner and Loewe, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Sondheim, and a finale from Les Miserables. Fun for the whole family!
Bonnie Littleton began performing in musical theater in the San Francisco Bay Area at the age of 18. She most recently performed with Lakewood Theater Company in Oliver (Old Sally). Credits include My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, The Sound of Music, Finian’s Rainbow, Anything Goes, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Her favorite role is one of her first, Julie Jordan (Carousel). She also has sung in many Broadway revues and is thrilled to be performing this one with talented Jonathan Quesenberry.
Jonathan Quesenberry is a graduate of Warner Pacific College with a degree in Music Theory/Composition. He has performed with Broadway Rose, Clark College, Warner Pacific College, CoHo Theatre, Blue Parrot, and recently appeared in Magenta’s production of She Loves Me. Favorite roles include Nicely-Nicely (Guys and Dolls), Captain Hook (Peter Pan), Prince Dauntless (Once Upon a Mattress) and Franz Liebkind (The Producers).
