Dec. 4th – Hometown Santa Parade, Downtown Puyallup and Sumner, 4:00 pm start in Puyallup. New this year, Parade organizers and volunteers will be handing out over 2,000 glow sticks provided by MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital and Puget Sound Energy to parade viewers to help light up the parade route. Afterwards visit the Pioneer Park Pavilion for delicious goodies and the official Children’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. For a parade map visit this link.
Dec 4th-6th – Tollefest, in Tollefson Plaza, located on South 17th and Pacific Avenue. From 11:00-6:00 pm. Admission is free. Starting on Friday, December 4, Tollefson Plaza will be filled with festive activities and craft vendors. On Saturday, December 5, Santa Claus will be “coming to town” from noon- 2:00 pm and the lighting of the holiday tree gracing the center of Tollefson Plaza is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
Dec. 11th – Tacoma Yacht Club Lighted Boat Parade, Ruston Way. 5:00-7:00 pm, the parade will begin off Tacoma Yacht Club point, traveling along Ruston Way and the Old Town Dock..
OTHER FUN EVENTS
Nov. 25-Jan.2 – Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park, 5:30-9:00 pm. Admission is $13 per vehicle. Discount tickets for $10 each are also available in advance at the following 3 locations: Lakewood Community Center, Sprinker Recreation Center, and the Garfield Book Company at PLU. Nov. 26-Jan.2 – Zoolights at Point Defiance Zoo, $7.50 at the Zoo’s front gate, $6.50 at pdza.org and participating Bartell Drugs beginning Nov. 22, Children age 2 and younger are free. 5:00-9:00 pm each night.
Dec. 1st-5th – A Victorian County Christmas, Puyallup Fairgrounds. $10 for adults, $8 for students, and children 5 and under are free. Open daily 10:00 am-9:00 pm and on Sunday 10:00 am-6:00 pm. Pick up a $2 off discount coupon at all Haggen and TOP Foods stores. Discount coupons are good for a $2 discount on general adult admission on Dec 1st-3rd. (www.avictoriancountrychristmas.com)
