I seriously LOVE the Silhouette machine. Me and my sister decided to use the machine for her little girls birthday party and we had a ball. We decided on a Tea party theme, and started on the invitations.
We knew we wanted to create a cute birthday banner and came up with not one, but two. Aren’t these so adorable?
We had a great idea for party favors. Wouldn’t little paper tea cups filled with goodies be the coolest thing ever?
We looked it up in on the online store that comes with the software and we found exactly what we wanted. We also made little thank you tags to attatch to the cup. Look how cute they turned out. It was totally worth the $.99 we spent for the shape.
At this point, we had to go all out, so we made napkin holders, cupcake liners and toppers and a cute sign for the front door.
Here’s a close up of the adorable napkin holders.
One thing I absolutely love about the Silhouette, is that each week you can download a shape on the online store for free. So this cute flower was last week’s free shape. Our creative juices started flowing and we decided to make it big and use it for another decoration. What do you think? Cute right?
So how thrifty was this birthday party you ask? VERY! We spent $5 on all the paper crafts, and got all the mix & match tea pots, tea cups, and saucers at a local thrift store for $11.
This party was a huge success and my little niece felt so special. For the party we did thrifty fun games as well, like painting nails, sparkles in the girls hair, make up, create a necklace out of beads, hot potato tea cup, and stack the sugar cubes. I couldn’t be more thrilled at the outcome of it all, the girls all had a blast.
And it was all made possible because of the amazing Silhouette machine. The great news is that the Silhouette company is giving away a Silhouette machine to one lucky happy money saver reader.
