You may have noticed that the newest craze for saving money online are these “One-Deal-a-Day” type websites.
Typically how the deal-a-day websites work is they offer one item at 50-75%+ savings for one day only. If enough people are interested in buying it then the offer is “on” and everyone gets the deal. You pay via your credit card online and when the daily deal is over for the day they will give you a voucher that you can redeem. For online offers the voucher has a promo code that you can enter at the website of the deal you bought. They often have City-specific deals or huge savings on products or services online.
The biggest problem I have with these deal-a-day websites is when they offer an online deal that looks amazing, only to look and see that shipping is ridiculously high. So you don’t really end up saving as much as you think. That is why I do not post every deal that just “looks like a great deal” here on happymoneysaver.com. I am really choosy most of the time and try to post offers that INCLUDE SHIPPING. Make sure and actually check the fine print before you buy is my biggest advice!!
I will tell you that I have saved a lot of money by shopping some of these sites personally. I shop ahead for Christmas and Birthdays or other gifts too. And I have been able to get tons of photobooks finished from my to-do list from the massive discounts I have received. And this just makes me happy…
Here are my favorite Deal-a-Day Websites: Make sure and click to sign up for each of them so you will get their email alerts. I wouldn’t want you to miss a hot deal!

Groupon: My absolute favorite deal-a-day website! There are so many cities included and you find everything from local deals to online offers. I would suggest you sign up to get the daily newsletter from the city closest to you and then watch my blog to see if there is a hot national deal I post about.
Jasmere: Their deals are mostly online deals and start at 12noon every-weekday. Some items have limited supply, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. Prices always start at 50% off or better, but as more people buy, the price gets lower!! Love that! They don’t charge your credit card until the sale ends, and everyone pays the day’s lowest price.
Zulily : An online Boutique that specializes in high quality products for babies, moms and kids. There are tons of great stores to choose from and you get to score designer products at HUGE savings! I love it! You do need to be a member, but it’s FREE and super easy to sign up.
Eversave :Deals offered daily, but their deals typically last 2-3 days. When you sign up for Eversave you get a $5 credit that you can apply right away, so that is nice.
