Time to stock up on diapers starting Sunday 2/13 – 2/19!! Get Walgreens brand diapers as low as $2.50 per pack this week. I personally was not really a brand-snob on diapers when my kids used them (I mean, hey…as long as I didn’t have to deal with cloth-diapers I would use just about anything…). I have used the Walgreens brand diapers though, and I would say they were more like a huggies-type of diaper. Have you used them? Like them?
Walgreens Diaper jumbo packs are on sale Buy 1 Get 1 FREE (at $8.99)
Buy (2) packs
-use the $2.00/1 coupon found in the Walgreens Infant Care booklet (should deduct $4.00)
= Pay $4.99 for 2 Packs (or $2.50 each!)
This is a great stock up price for diapers. Have fun!
That is a good price!
A side note, though: cloth diapers aren’t what they used to be. Even in the last year or so a lot of great options have come out. A lot of people are choosing them for health/allergy, environmental, or $ reasons. We actually have had much fewer leaks with cloth, especially during the newborn stage. Never ever had a blowout in cloth. I have a hodge-podge of different brands and types, some of which are easier to use than others.
The startup cost for cloth tends to scare some otherwise interested people off: a nice name-brand diaper that velcros on in one piece just like a disposable diaper, with a waterproof fabric built in as the outer layer, can cost around $18. They will “pay for themselves” eventually, but it can still look expensive up front.

If you think it would be of interest to some of your readers, I would love to do a short guest post for you on ways to keep the costs of cloth diapers down: there are lots of options such as buying “seconds” (have small cosmetic defects), buying one-size diapers (have snaps or elastics that adjust the size as the baby grows), finding out which lesser known brands are actually any good, re-selling them when you’re done with them, etc.
I would love that Hannah! I do know there are more and more people turning to cloth diapers, and I would love to hear more as I am sure my readers would too. I will email you. 🙂
I like to stock up on diapers for future baby showers to make diaper cakes. Where do you get the infant care booklet in the store?
I use cloth diapers and have found the Econobum to be very inexpensive, easy to use, and will last from newborn to potty training. All for $100! I also recommend Cotton Babies as a cloth diaper source. I would love to see more advertising and parents that use cloth. Even parents who dont know if it is right for them, some places offer a 30 day “test drive” and packages to find what you like. It is not as big of a hassel as you would think 🙂
I have used cloth diapers off and on over the last couple years with both of my little ones. They’re great and definetely cheaper in the long run but I have had leakeage problems with every brand I’ve tried. They dont absorb as well as disposables or “sposies”. Sometimes you have to buy 2 or 3 times the soakers and then they became really big and bulky. There are pro’s and con’s to using both types of diaper. But they’re a lot easier these days then they used to be. Now they’re mostly All in ones that snap close! Thanks for providing info to all moms Hannah!
Sweet Loving that’s a great deal!!
Where would I find the Walgreens Infant Coupon Book??
I asked the lady at walgreens where the coupon booklets were and the they were in the beauty section by the register, I did that deal with the oatmeal and used the 3$ RR and the coupon from the infant care book and paid 1.99 for 2 packs of diapers! I have hardly spent anything on diapers in the last 8 months.
Is there a limit to how many $2 a coupon will take off? For instance if I buy 4 packs, will it take off 8 dollars? And any opinions on Walgreen brand of diapers? Do we like? Dislike?
I love the wags near my town, the employees are coupon friendly and are allways taping sunday manufacturer coupons to the products plus they made copies of the baby coupons and taped the wag coupons on all the products!
Amy- I bought 4 at a time and $8 came off. I hope this helps.
