Sausage McMuffin Breakfast Sandwiches

No need to stop for a fast food breakfast when this copycat Sausage McMuffin recipe tastes every bit as good as the real thing.

Ingredients

– Ground pork – Salt, pepper and thyme – Eggs – American cheese slices – English muffins – Cooking spray

Cook the sausage patties over medium-high heat on a heavy skillet or a griddle that has been lightly sprayed with oil.

Lightly spray cooking spray into each silicone spot or lid. Add one large egg to each spot. I like to break my egg yolks so the patty lies flat in the sandwich, but that’s just personal preference.

Then assemble your sandwich by placing them in this order: Bottom of muffin, cooked sausage patty, egg, cheese and top of muffin.

Enjoy Them Now

If you want to enjoy one after preparing them, simply wrap the sandwiches in tin foil and heat them in the oven for about 3-5 minutes.

Either wrap them in plastic wrap or place individually in small pint sized freezer safe bags.

Make It A Freezer Meal

To reheat in the microwave, remove the plastic wrap but leave the sandwich loosely wrapped in the paper towel.
