Homemade Suede Cleaner

Whether you are dreaming of fresh eggs, learning to be more self-reliant, looking for a great pet or wanting your own home-grown chickens for meat, just about anyone can raise chickens.

PLEASE test this in an inconspicuous area first! Some fabrics do bleed! AND if you have a warranty on your furniture you may not want to do this either.

– 99% Isopropyl Alcohol – a spray bottle – new scrub sponges – one half a scrubbing pad – a soft brush – the bristles shouldn’t be any harder than a toothbrush. A potato brush might work well too – a toothbrush for small spots – clean dry rags

What You Need:

Yes, it must be 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. The higher percentile of Alcohol is recommended, as it has less water, so it’s less likely to cause any watermarks.

First and foremost, dust and/or vacuum your sofa. Then, pour your alcohol into the bottle.

Take a look at these permanent marker stains.  One without the knowledge about this DIY cleaner, would probably freak out at the sight of these stains. Right?

Spray over your area and then use the sponge in a circular motion to remove the stain. And voilà!

If your furniture has years of grime or dirt from pets and kids, you may have to do this cleaning process twice. But you’ll notice the difference immediately.
