This past weekend was my friend Kennedy’s birthday. I wanted to do something fun to make her feel special without breaking the budget. So I came up with this idea of making a birthday banner and then going over that morning to sing the happy birthday song to her.
I made the banner with my silhouette machine, but you could easily make one without. Make a template and use markers or paper scraps to embellish. I promise you, your friend will love you for being so thoughtful. Also, I found this free birthday banner printable from hellobee’s website that would work great.
The night before, in the bakery section at my local grocery store I saw these adorable single cupcakes and thought that it would be the perfect little gift to go along with the banner. It only cost me $1.50 and was so much easier than making them and then wanting to eat them all. This option was definitely the way to go.
Let me introduce you to my adorable helper.
Who wouldn’t want to see this cutie pie showing up at their door? Plus I needed her to sing with me. Believe me, you don’t want to hear me sing a solo. 🙂
She was so happy and surprised.
Just look at her expression! Love it. Love her. The end.
Psssst…
