Update: We were able to find a vehicle to purchase here on vacation – yeay!! It did feel really rushed, but you gotta do what you gotta do right? We needed a car to get home in. I ended up with a used 2005 GMC Yukon, and already I am feeling so spoiled. All the doors and windows work! 🙂

I had a fuel pump go out while returning from an out-of-town vacation many years ago. As I recall, that unplanned event ended up with a total cost of about what the rest of the week had cost — and it was not nearly as fun. It can get expensive fast when your options are few.

Oh dear! Sorry to hear that! Hope you can find a good replacement.
We had a vehicle develop severe problems on vacation so we got a different one on Craigslist, left the old one (and it’s paperwork, which we signed so it was ready to sell) with relatives who were able to get it sold for us a few weeks later Then the new one ended up breaking down on our way home..it was fixable but added an extra 2 days to our trip! It was kind of a fiasco…I mean, adventure!

I am soooo sorry. It is a horrible feeling when a vehicle breaks down. I wish I was a mechanic. I hope you guys can find a new affordable form of transportation. Good Luck!!!

I have loved our MPV very well…very well. It has seen better days for sure. With 3 kids, I can only imagine what’s going on in the 3rd row. lol On the bright side, you get a new van!!! Eh…and the headache of finding such new love. =) I’ll be in your shoes someday soon, I’m sure.
