When I was 32 weeks pregnant my twins arrived eleven years ago.
I’ll always remember:
How nervous I felt being a new mom of twins.
How small they were. (3.14 and 4.9)
How I knew our lives would be changed forever.
How I could just stare at them all day long, and not get bored.
How much I immediately loved them.
And now they are 11 years old. Sweet. Funny. Lovable. Sporty. Silly. Smart. I cannot believe how much they are growing up. I might only have them around for another 7-8 years until they graduate high school and head out to college. (cry) Do you do the countdown with your kids too?
Happy Birthday to the two who made me a mother first.

My boy/girl twins graduated from high school on the 12th and the girl half graduated from running start at the community college on the 17th with her AA. They are my last children and I was lucky enough to carry them until their due date (7 lb. 4 oz. & 6 lb. 5 oz.). Enjoy the time you have left. It goes too fast!

This reminded me….last week we were at a Graduation and I told my oldest (8) that we’d be going to her graduation in 10 years, and my 6 yr old daughter piped up and said she’d be busy and didn’t want to go (just to get at her sister). This led into a talk on how we support each other and it will be exciting…blah blah blah, my 6 yr old piped up again and said “if I have to go I’m not gonna like it”. Oh the joy!! :).

My twins will be two in September ( identical girls ), they were # 3 and 4 for me, but I have to say, there is nothing quite like having multiples. Glad to know we can indeed survive it! Happy Birthday to them both.

Hi Karrie,
It’s forever since I’ve been over here and I totally forgot you had twins too! Happy Birthday to them both. My twins turned 5 yesterday {another set of Geminis..yep}
How special that bond and nerve-racking for mama’s {mine totally speak their own language} Wishing them a special day together.

Emily, wow…your twins are at that constant-curious-climbing-running-falling-stage. I never laughed harder than that stage, and survived it. Are you going to a twins support group? (I loved going to mine, it was not about necessarily needing help, it was about finding other amazing twin moms to get twin survival ideas from) 🙂

Martha, having children was the best thing I think I have ever done. I never knew I could love so deeply until I had a child. Just about every mom is nervous about what to do and how to be a great mom! You will do great.

I became a mother of twins 17 months ago and can’t imagine them being over a year old let alone being 11!! I have an older daughter as well so they weren’t my first, but having twins has definitely been an amazing experience. Happy birthday to your kids! And thanks again for such an amazing help site for me and my family!
