This refreshing homemade face wash will have you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the morning with its refreshing coconut peppermint scent!
Facewash… one of those necessary items around the house that can cost a fortune! I don’t know about you but every time I go shop for face products, I just get overwhelmed by all the choices and high prices and end up walking away. Why do I want to spend $30 and up for face washes full of chemicals that make giant claims to make me look younger?
So…. since I’m kind of an essential oils all-natural kind of gal, I thought… duh…. make your own!
Making your own is SO easy and you actually know what (and can pronounce) all the ingredients, PLUS… you can customize your scent to your liking.
I actually make it in a variety of scents.. my all time fav being peppermint because it’s so rejuvenating and brightens up your morning. Lavender is amazing to use for your night time wash because of its soothing properties. Lemon, orange, rose… the list goes on. You can even make some for your manly man using a more masculine scent!

Is this for all skin types? My skin gets very oily

I think it works well for all skin types but I feel like every person is different. Has anybody with oily skin type tried it out?
Sue says
Why baking soda? Any substitute ?
Deb says
I definitely would NOT want to put peppermint in a face wash. It’s a “hot” oil, and would inflame my skin…. and probably most people’s. If you’re going to use any essential oil, use a calming one – Lavender, Elemi, or Myrrh.

Does this have a shelf life?
Nosipho says
can I substitute Coconut oil with any other oil as it makes my skin itch?
Elaine Miller says
Yes but it just won’t be as thick. Olive oil is great.
