This homemade vinaigrette dressing is THE best. 5 simple ingredients, healthy, and extra tasty. Homemade for the win!

How’s your healthy eating resolution going this year? Ahem…anyone still with me? Need a little boost? Well, I’d like you to meet my good friend, Homemade Vinaigrette Dressing. Vinnie for short. She’s quick, easy, and full of flavor. (Whoa buddy. It’s late, and I’m craving ice cream, and my fingers are typing crazy things. I am not accountable for anything that happens after 10PM. Vinnie agrees. #cantstopwontstop)

I digress.

Homemade Vinaigrette Dressing. This stuff is the bomb, and will perk up that boring salad of yours to a 10. With literally only 5 ingredients, it’s super fast to throw together and keeps the salad health factor up there too. This recipe is almost as good as my homemade hidden valley ranch dressing recipe… almost.

Ingredients for Homemade Vinaigrette Dressing

This homemade vinaigrette dressing is simple, healthy, and most importantly delicious! 5 ingredients, a quick shake of a jar and you're good to go.

2/3 C  olive oil
1/3 C apple cider vinegar
1 ½ T mustard
Sea Salt and Pepper to taste

You can sub avocado oil for the olive oil if you like. It tastes great either way. Sidenote: Is anyone else loving avocado oil lately? I can’t get enough. It’s now my go to high-heat frying oil and tastes fabulous in dressings. Don’t worry though, Olive. There’s always a place in my heart (and wallet) for you too.

It’s important to use Bragg brand apple cider vinegar. You will totally taste the difference if you try and use any ol’ ACV on the block. Just stay with Bragg and your taste buds will love you. Promise.

If you prefer a sweeter style dressing, then just add a tablespoon or so of some honey. Mmm, mmmm…

Directions for Homemade Vinaigrette Dressing

Add all ingredients to jar of your choice and shake well to combine. That’s it! Serve on salad of your choice.

My absolute favorite way to eat this homemade vinaigrette is to first, sauté some filleted chicken breasts in my skillet in a little olive or avocado oil. Cook until chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and then pour in a bit of vinaigrette. Whisk it around for a minute to get all the little bits (aka FLAVOR) soaked up and pour over your chicken salad. Healthy deliciousness at it’s best! In the picture below you can see the dressing once I’ve done this. SO GOOD!!! Try it and let me know what you think.

This homemade vinaigrette is the best! Simple, healthy and delicious. Sure beats the store bought chemical stuff. I also make an amazing hidden valley ranch dressing recipe too!

Thanks so much! Just what I’ve been looking for and I have all the ingredients! This 80 degree weather we’ve been having in S. Calif. has not been good for my lettuce! Hopefully I’ll be able to salvage enough for a salad tomorrow and try this dressing!

Thanks again and have a great weekend!
