It’s October, which means it’s time to really get in the spirit of all things Fall and Halloween. We started the month off right by having a fun evening of making homemade doughnuts, drinking apple cider, and what other than… pumpkin bowling!I saw the idea off of Pinterest last year and knew I had to give it a try.
I am telling you, pumpkin bowling was so much fun! I searched for a small round pumpkin and drilled three holes in it patterned after a real bowling ball. Cut off the stem so it was nice an round. Then we set up a tower of toilet paper rolls as the pins.
Some serious fun was had.
So much so, that we decided to make a couple sets and deliver it to our friends. You know how much we love happy thoughts around here.
It was especially fun to watch the youngin’s set it up, ring the doorbell and then run away faster than their little legs could carry them in hopes that they wouldn’t get caught. They really enjoyed it, thus making it a new family tradition that we will do for many Octobers to come.
I have included a free printable of the tag that I used to gift this. Just click the link and print away.

Oh, I love this idea and thank you for the printable! I am going to surprise neighbor with this, but instead of TP (which where I live would be a wet mess soon enough) I am going to stuff 6 empty water bottles with white tissue paper (I saw it on Pinterest with cotton balls, but who has that many?!) and add black eyes for a ghost along with a pumpkin! I can’t wait 🙂 My daughter is going to shriek with laughter!

To quote Mr. Rogers….. “please, won’t you be my neighbor?” ….and to do it anonymously…you’re teaching your kids some godly values….your kids and neighbors are blessed to have you, Karrie!!
