I don’t know about you, but it seems hard sometimes to find family friendly adult costumes in stores. You usually have to make your own, but if you are thrifty this is great because usually you can save money, and we all love saving $$ around here! Here are a few different cool adult costume ideas I have seen and love.

We have been fishermen(persons) in the past with all our gear on (vests, boots, hats with lures attached, and our fishing licenses coming out of a pocket). Last year with our 1 yo, we did one of the costumes you pinned up already as the lobster in the pot with us dressing in aprons and chef hats. This year, our daughter loves Elmo so she is going as Elmo and I got a screaming deal on two t-shirts for my husband and myself…his is going as Cookie Monster and myself, well I am Oscar (which my main man says is *appropriate*! Funny guy!) I like to think that I look better in green then in Big Bird yellow! 🙂
