Enjoy walking through a frosted forest without leaving the comfort of your home with this Frosted Forest Room Spray.
We have a fake Christmas tree at our house. Because…. we are pretty much cheapskates!
But growing up in my family when I was a kid, we always had a fresh cut real tree at Christmas. With all the blinking rainbow lights and the scent of fresh pine and wood. Ahhh..it was so wonderful.
So, this year I decided it would be great to make a pine-smelling spray using some of my essential oils. I got to work and created this amazing blend that I can spray around the house. It’s a really nice mix that gets me all giddy when I walk into my house and smell that holiday smell in the air.
There are only four oils used and some water too! Douglas Fir and Cedarwood essential oil bring the lovely aroma of trees indoors, while Peppermint and Grapefruit help to bring a cool and fresh aroma to the mix. Plus, all of the incredible properties from the essential oils can help to open up your airways, improve your mood, and reduce anxiety. And I need all the help I can get this time of year with that!
Cost Breakdown:

10 drops Douglas Fir essential oil: $2.34
10 drops Peppermint essential oil: $.82
5 drops Cedarwood essential oil: $.26
10 drops Grapefruit essential oil: $.64
Total: $4.06
HOW TO MAKE FROSTED FOREST ROOM SPRAY
Ingredients:
1/4 cup distilled water
10 drops Douglas Fir essential oil
10 drops Peppermint essential oil
5 drops Cedarwood essential oil
10 drops Grapefruit essential oil
Directions:
1. In an 8-ounce glass spray bottle (I like to get mine here) add water and essential oils. Shake to combine.
2. Before each use, shake bottle until oils are distributed in the water. Spray onto any surface in your home you would like to be refreshed. I personally like to use room sprays in my bathroom, office, on my linens and pillows, car, kitchen, etc. And of course a little on my Christmas tree skirt and backs of soft fabric ornaments too! If you want to use it directly on a fake tree, I would test it in a small inconspicuous spot, let it sit there for a week and see if it damages anything. Essential oils can be strong, and I wouldn’t want you to ruin your money saving fake Christmas tree.

Just found your site and love it! Thinking of everyone getting room sprays for Christmas. I liked the green bottle marked “Frosted Forest” – how did you get the lettering? Thanks, Pam

I used my silhouette machine with vinyl. But on etsy I know there are companies that will let you buy small names cut out of vinyl. So check there, thank you!!
