housewarming-13

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Frigidaire Gallery. All opinions are 100% mine and I’m happy to share them with you.

I’ve recently moved into my new house on 5 acres and knew it was the perfect time to throw my first ever housewarming party for friends, neighbors and all those who worked so hard on building my home. With being on a budget and having many upcoming costs (can we say irrigation, fencing, chicken coops, outbuildings, gardens…?) I wanted to keep this housewarming party simple and budget friendly. It turned out to be such a wonderful evening with getting to see so many old friends and meeting new neighbors that I didn’t want the night to end. Here’s how I was able to stay stress free and stay on a budget doing my first ever housewarming party.

First off, I am excited to finally tell you some awesome news. It’s about my kitchen appliances! I knew from the first time I started looking into kitchen appliances that I wanted a big all refrigerator and freezer in my kitchen. With knowing my plans of having a huge garden I knew I would need a big refrigerator. Plus with me always doing tons of freezer meals I knew I wanted a big freezer right in my kitchen. So I looked into different options for having an all refrigerator/freezer combo and I found the Frigidaire Gallery All Refrigerator and All Freezer set. It’s the PERFECT way to get the built-in look for less! And let me tell you, it’s even better than I ever expected.

My new Frigidaire Gallery All Refrigerator is so glorious. It fits so much food in there!! I can save time & money by doing my grocery shopping only once or twice a month and never have to worry about not having enough fridge space. When I first moved into my new home I had to start all over with groceries because there was a week delay in moving from my apartment to the new home. So I did a big grocery shopping day after moving in and filled up the huge refrigerator with all my new items. Everything fit perfectly and I had plenty of room to spare.

I especially love the door of the refrigerator because it is so easy to organize all my condiments, milk and juices. Being organized is really important to me because with my busy schedule I need to be able to find things fast. I also love that it’s big enough to add in what I call our “lunch tub”. It’s basically a tub filled with all kinds of quick-grab lunch items. This way my kids can quickly grab their lunch stuff out of that tub in the morning, pack their own lunch which saves me time!

And the extra large vegetable crisper? I love it – it can fit in a whole celery stalk!

The Frigidaire Gallery All Refrigerator is perfect for my busy mom life with shuffling kids to and fro. It has been so nice for the kids to be able to quickly grab what they need from the fridge while we are heading out the door. Goodbye overcrowded fridge where you have to search behind everything just so you can find that one thing you were looking for. Hello fridge where everything is easy to find and saves my family time.

But it doesn’t end there… it’s also perfect for parties!!! This all refrigerator definitely saved me a lot of time and stress during my housewarming party with being able to prepare all the appetizers and desserts the day before. It’s so big that I can put full cookie sheets in there.

Also… when I needed extra shelves in the fridge for this party I could just take them from my freezer as they are all interchangeable and adjustable. This is great for when you have big or small items and need to move things around. You can take some shelves from the freezer and bring them over if you need more shelves in the refrigerator. Genius! Its so nice having plenty of room to place all your party food in advance and it made my party prep a breeze!

See? That’s all the food all ready to go for the party. Pretty cool, right? I think you need one of these Frigidaire all refrigerators in your life too. They are amazing!

The Housewarming Party

To decorate for this housewarming party I cleaned my house and added a touch of fresh flowers. They cost me around $14 for the bouquet of tulips and some babys-breath.  They added that perfect last touch I think. And that’s it for the decorations. Kept it thrifty and simple.

Housewarming Party Recipes

As for the food… I wanted to keep it simple, budget-friendly and easy to prepare the day before. Finger foods and appetizers were a perfect choice. I will be sharing three brand new recipes in the next few days with you that I created so stay tuned for those. The menu included my Tex-Mex Dip with chips, Mini Pepperoni Wheels, some fruit/veggie trays, pretzels, licorice and for the housewarming cake I created some lovely “Berries on a Cloud” Cupcakes. I also placed bottled water in ice as the drink of the party (didn’t want folks walking around with colored juice just in case of stains…). Here is a picture of the spread…

It was a really great night getting to give tours of the new house to everyone.  I just was able to enjoy every moment talking with old friends and meeting new neighbors.

Everyone’s loved the food too! So many mmm’s and lot of “can I get the recipe?”comments.  I will be sure to share the recipes for you all in the next few days so check back on the blog, you’re gonna love them!

All in all I had a lovely housewarming party that I will always remember and cherish. And I’m so thankful for Frigidaire for sponsoring my kitchen and making such a beautiful spacious appliance that has been able to save my family time, give me less trips to the stores, help me stay organized all while making me the coolest mom on the block.

Where did you find the stools? I like that the backs are about the same height as the countertop.

I have a whole post about my Cold Lunch in a Day bin HERE. Check it out. I do all kinds of stuff in that bin like bagged fruit, small apples, oranges, bagged carrots, peppers, or celery. Little yogurts, string cheese… basically anything that has to stay cold for their lunches and can be made in advance. 🙂

Hello Debbie, I found this set at an old antique store and just fell in love. I had to re-upholster the chairs and clean the whole thing up really good but I am so happy with the set. Thank you!

I love your Kitchen! Full of AWESOMENESS!!! (Is that a word?) May I ask where did you purchase the hanging lights over the bar? I have been looking for something like those for my quaint kitchen?

Hi Dlynn, yes the full fridge and freezer are awesome. And honestly you can get the Frigidaire Gallery whole set for just about as much as someone would pay for the fancy bottom drawer fridge sets they sell nowadays. It’s so great if you have the space for them.
