I did some Albertsons doubler shopping last night (10/4/10) and came home with these goodies.
36 Cans of Veggies, 1 Jar of Nutella, 6 Planters Trail Mix, and 7 packages of Quaker Mix-it Instant Oatmeal.
Total Spent $5.73
Total Saved $ 86.67!
I think I need to go back out tonight to get more hot deals with doublers. I just cannot resist a great deal!

Thanks for the answer…we did really well…we bougth retail price around 278.45 but we only payed 23.38
I did not get the oatmeal because even with the coupon it is still expensive…the otameal was 3.59 at my albertsons here in puyallup wa..so doubleing it i would have to pay 1.39…and i can get that for free sometimes so i pass on that. Thanks for the answer 🙂

To answer Dina’s ?, I know in Boise, the Walmart will let you use doublers and a manu coupon. So they double any coupon upto a $1.00, just like Alb’s. Plus they do not limit the doublers to 3 per transaction. It’s worked pretty well. An important thing to note though ~ let the checker know BEFORE they start checking you out that you are using doublers. They have to do some add’l math to make it work and they will have to re-ring the order if you forget. Not fun.
I still prefer Albertson’s. I like their service and catalina’s. That being said, I will go to Walmart and use the doublers from time to time. Free always wins!

candy…there were a couple of oatmeal coupons in one of the papers one week. The planters—there was a coupon you could print on line for $1.00 any planters products…she may have used those coupons.

I just talked to my wife and she ran by Albertson’s today to use up our remaining nine doublers (I snagged three more sheets on my way out of the store last night – I don’t want to be greedy but there was at least a hundred sheets there and I sure didn’t want them to go to waste:). She said the checker wasn’t very pleasant. Oh well, I guess they have bad days too!
She was able to use up our remaining 2 Del Monte coupons and then used all six of our $.40/1 Fleischman’s yeast coupons. She did three transactions with two yeast strips in each one and received three $.50 catalinas in addition to the $2 Del Monte catalina. Made a sweet deal even sweeter!

Gosh, sorry candy, it has been a crazy day! I should have checked in for your comment. I was given a few coupons from a tearpad for the planters and the oatmeal by my favorite manager at the Lee store in Richland. I am not sure if he has any left, but worth it to ask! The planters was $1/2 and the Oatmeal was $1/1.

I also had 20 $1/5 del monte coupons. They opened a special check stand for me (the Albertsons on Lee in the Tri-Cities) until that order was finished. They were AWESOME!!

Both Albertson’s in my area appear to have stopped giving out doublers at the customers servive desk…at least I am assuming, since the past two time I’ve gone they have said they don’t have any.

Last night was an epic doublers experience. I bought 20 $1/5 Del Monte coupons on ebay and accumulated 21 doublers to go along with them. I didn’t know what to expect with so many transactions and I must say that the checkers at Albertson’s went above and beyond here (we are in Olympia). I split my transactions between the two stores here and in both places a checker gave me their lane until we finished even though I offered to step aside and come back. Okay, on to the deal –
57 cans diced tomotoes
51 cans veggies
5 boxes NV granola bars
12 cups Yoplait
2 – 5 packs Kraft Mac & Cheese
Total – ~$12.50 (could have been less, but I forgot to use 2-$0.40/6 Yoplait coupons)
**The total is after I used $4 in catalina’s I got on Sunday from buying 6 Del Monte veggies and 20 Yoplaits. Not a bad night!

R.Rose, that stinks really bad. BUt if you ask at the customer service desk they will give you doublers. Usually they will even hand you more then one. I asked for some at the Lee albertson’s yesterday and the guy handed me three sheets. I have an extra one that i didn’t use if you are in tri cities you can have it! email me and let me know. if you get this before the end of the day.
