 PhotobucketI just love Italian Sodas. I love to make them for parties or just my own fun-family night. Last Memorial Day weekend we had a bunch of family come over {like 30 people} and this was probably the biggest hit of the party…Italian Sodas!

These little beauties are fairly inexpensive to make, especially if you can coupon shop for some of the basic ingredients.  For the cups, syrups, straws and lids,  I found out about this store called “Cash & Carry”. Its basically a restaurant supply store and I know that we have a few here in Tri-Cities, and odds are you might have one in your town. They have GREAT prices on these items.  I will give you the price breakdown below the recipe.

Here are some pictures of how it should look when you are making them:

I’m telling you these are a big hit! My kids love helping to make them as well as drink them. If you coupon shop for the 7-up, whipped topping and the coffee-creamer you will definately lower your costs too.

Here is the price breakdown from my local Cash & Carry:

(50) 20 oz cups $5.79
(50 20 oz Lids $2.89
Da Vinchi Syrups $3.74 each!!
Club Soda 2 Liter .99 or FREE 7-up if you have it from couponing
Small Box Straws $2.19
Whipped Topping at Cash + Carry, large size $1.49, {or inexpensive from couponing!}
Coffee-mate Creamer .25 {couponing}

Grand total if you bought 2 syrups = $20.08
{and 50 cups lasts my family quite a while. Remember, any unused syrup can be stored at room temperature.}

Ingredients

  • in Syrups bottled a variety of flavors, Regular or Sugar-free
  • 20 oz Cups + matching lids
  • straws
  • ice
  • Club Soda 7-up or Sprite
  • Whipping Cream Vanilla Coffee-mate Creamer, or milk

Instructions

  • Take your syrup and add about 1/4 measuring cup to bottom of cup. (you might find that different syrups might need more or less than that amount, but that is what I start with.)
  • Then add ice, fill up to near top of the glass.
  • Add either Club soda or 7-Up product, fill cup to about 7/8 full.
  • Then add either whipping cream, creamer or milk to fill the cup.
  • Use your straw to stir.
  • Add lid and add spray whipped topping.
  • Serve!

      You can also use individual drink mix packets instead of the syrup. Cheaper and less calories. Great recipe though.
