Giant Slipping Slide using a tarp = Summer Fun a on a Budget!

As a child, my fondest memories are of summer time.

We lived in the country and would play in the canal from sun up to sun down. I know now-a-days canals are not safe, but when I was little it was our swimming pool! My kids LOVE to play in water so we came up with the idea of a GIANT SLIPPING SLIDE!

All you need is:

  • 1 Giant tarp
  • Tent stakes
  • No-Tear baby shampoo, baby oil, or any other kind of shampoo
  • Water source – we used 2 sprinklers
  • Children – or even adults..LOL!

Canna, Drake, Linzey & Landon all helped set up this giant slipping slide. If you can’t tell from the pictures, let me tell you-  they had a blast!  They played for hours on this slippery slide!

Every 30 minutes or so we lubed the slide up for maximize slippage!

Linzey was the best slider, she has experience from being the oldest and most daring.

The boys had fun having a contest on who could run down it without slipping.

In the end the slipping slide only cost us about $2 worth of baby shampoo since we already had the tarp, stakes and water.
