I don’t believe “beauty secrets” should really be secrets. I am one of those women who think we should share what we know! Make the world a better place!
So, I’m going to let you in on one of my favorite “beauty secrets”…and trust me, it is a GOOD one!
Raise your hand if you want longer, thicker, flirtier lashes. I see YOU raising both hands! Don’t worry…I’ve got you covered, girls!
The absolute BEST eyelash growth serum is so easy, you will wonder how you’ve lived so long without it.
Eyelash Growth Serum Recipe
All you need are a few SIMPLE ingredients:
Cold Pressed Castor Oil
Fractionated Coconut Oil*
Almond Oil
Empty Mascara Tube
*It is important to use Fractionated Coconut Oil for a few reasons. First, it has had the long chain triglycerides removed making it less oily than virgin coconut oil and better for use in skin care products. Fractionated coconut oil has a higher concentration of Capric acid and Caprylic acid which makes it a better antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and disinfectant. Perhaps most important for this particular use, it remains a liquid when cold and has very little scent, which is ideal for use around the eyes.
Directions for the BEST eyelash growth serum:
Mix equal parts castor, coconut, & almond oil.
Lightly shake to mix.
Apply nightly to lashes…brows…hairline…
You guys. Seriously. It’s crazy how simple, yet effective this is. If you are anything like me, there are already a few products that are never out of arm’s reach. After you try this one, I promise, you’ll never be without it. Keep it in your nightstand, put it on every night and watch those lashes grow!
Some of the benefits of these oils?
Cold pressed castor oil has been known for growing lashes for ages. The Egyptians used it to fight baldness!
I don’t need to tell you all how much I love Coconut oil… I’m fairly certain it’s obvious since I find a way to use it for everything! It’s rich in vitamins and nutrients, and literally can renew lashes & brows on it’s own. And almond oil…it nourishes and protects eyelashes from falling out.
3 Tbsp Cold Pressed Castor Oil= $0.66
3 Tbsp Fractionated Coconut Oil= $1.12
3 Tbsp Almond Oil= $0.98
Total for 5 ounces = $2.76$2.76 for a mascara tube amount isn’t so bad is it? Especially when compared to other eyelash growth serums, which cost on average $20-$40 for a small tube. There are plenty of other GREAT uses for each of these oils too, so they shouldn’t ever go to waste. I’ve found it very worth the cost and time…plus, the results are amazing!
TIP: Make sure you aren’t allergic to any of these oils before you apply them to your lashes!

Bought Dermalmd Eyelash Growth Serum to regrowth my eyelashes which have been kinda damaged after sessions of putting on the individual fake eyelashes. It isn’t harsh to my eye. Easy to apply. so far so good.

It’s the best recipe. Almond oil can be replaced by a few drops of essential oils (lemon or lavender or…) But I must say, after some years I decided to try something new and started to use Cherish Lash serum. It’s extremely helpful too as I doubled the volume of my eyelashes that were quite “tired” of stresses at work etc. 🙂

Where do you get a clean empty mascara tube and brush? Can I buy one somewhere? If not, then how do I clean out a mascara tube and brush that I’ve bought from a store? Please answer. (I’ve already bought the caster oil. Not cheap. My pharmacy keeps it behind their counters and you have to ask for it. Mine cost nearly $8 for a few ounces.)

Hi Mary,
You could purchase new tubes if you like on amazon here (looks like today it’s around $7/bottle) OR you could fill an old bottle you have around with warm water. Leave it in for 10 min then shake it up a bit then empty. Rinse and repeat. If there is still some remaining you can use a q-tip and wipe inside. Some have even used a bit of nail polish remover inside, let it sit for 5 minutes, shake it up and pour, but I find warm water works pretty well.

I love this idea ! The older I get, the less eyebrows I have and I’ve tried everything I could afford. But I am allergic to almonds, do you have a substitution that works just as good?

Could you use Argan oil instead of Almond oil?
