I wanted to wish all my readers a Merry Christmas! I’ve worked hard the past few months to help bring you good deals and great savings but I wanted to make sure I included the real reason for this season. I believe He lives and blesses us all. What a wonderful gift our Heavenly Father has given us that he sent his Son. I hope you have fun with your family and loved ones. Have a Merry Christmas!

Thank you for being bold enough to share this. He is the reason! And it’s so easy to forget…

Jessica,
I used to think that people were crossing Christ out of Christmas. One year I even wrote about that in our Christma letter… but then someone enlightened me. I took this from about.com for lack of time to explain it. Research it for yourself. It did make me feel better…
“It is said that when the Emperor Constantine had his great vision that caused him to convert to Christianity, he saw the Greek letters Chi and Rho intertwined. Chi is written as an ‘X’ and Rho is written as a ‘P’, but they are the first two letters of the Greek word Christ ‘savior’. ‘XP’ is sometimes used to stand for Christ. Sometimes X is used alone. This is the case in the Chi (X) abbreviation for Christ in Xmas. Thus, Xmas is not directly a way of secularizing the holiday, but since ‘X’ is not Chi in English, we read the word as X-mas and see no connection with Christ. ” I still write Christmas but I don’t cringe anymore when I see Xmas.
Merry Christmas!

That does help a bit Terry. Thank you. But, even though I may see the connection a little clearer now, I think that too many just write the X as a way to shorten the word. I do think that without Christ there, in our culture and English language, the X secularizes the word because of the lost meaning for most. And, to be fair, I think that there are a lot of people who are not even aware of the reason Christ is in Christmas.
BTW…I will be sharing this video with my family tomorrow morning.

Thank you so much for sharing this with your readers. It warms my heart every single time I see that someone hasn’t forgotten the real reason Christmas was created. One way I honor Him is that still, to this day, I refuse to even write an X in the place of Christ in the word Christmas because it symbolizes the removal of Him in the holiday.

I agree, I mean when someone doesnt want to include Christ in Christmas it’s like having a birthday for someone and not inviting them to to party. I plan on honoring Him this year by trying to add some new spiritual goals this upcoming year.
