Doritos Taco Salad Recipe (In a BAG)

All you need to do is brown a pound of ground beef. Drain it, then add back to the pan with 1 cup of water and some taco seasoning. Simmer 4 minutes. Then crush up your chips, cut open the bag and add in your toppings like cheese, sour cream, meat and salsa. Eat right out of the bag with a fork!

So fun.

  1. What a super fun idea. My kids will love this. Your little guy is adorable, by the way.

  2. What a super idea! It’s not only super fun but also super easy clean-up and who doesn’t love that?! Your little guy is soo stinkin’ cute! 🙂

  3. Very fun idea!

  4. The Fritos bags also made a good substitute to the Jack In The Box Southwestern Salad. You can add a salad mix plus grilled chicken to it. The lime vinaigrette is easy to make: lime juice, cilantro, salt, pepper, red wine vinegar, olive oil, little bit of water, fresh basil, garlic, onion powder and a wee bit of sugar. Far less expensive then the salad at Jack In The Box and much better tasting.

  5. We do this with Fritos and canned chili instead of ground beef. We’ll definitely have to try it this way too. I LOVE how easy it is and my kids LOVE it!

  6. Emily Bleazard says:

Yup, totally love this one!! Although most of the time we just buy the big bag of Doritos and make the salad in a bowl.

  7. Snickers says:

Oh I am in love with this idea…cute idea for a picnic…a change from sandwhiches…thanks for sharing…love it

  8. Haha, my eldest and my husband would each eat a BIG bag of Doritos this way! I use Doritos for my taco salad, but I always buy the big bag and we dish it, but I love this idea, especially since it cuts down on the dish-washing. Thank you!

  9. Just like the walking taco I ate in wisconsin

  10. The high schools around us sell this at football and basketball games, although sometimes it is with Fritos. It is easy to put together, kids (and adults) love it and when sold in the snack bar, it makes $ for the athletic teams because it is a “fan favorite”.
