Hello all.  Its been awhile since I have posted any of my shopping trips.  Summer has been so busy! Plus it just takes a little bit more time to set up your groceries when you get home and take a picture (when you are tired and want to relax,  you just want to put it away and show off your reciepts to your hubby).  But summer is done..no more slacking off.  🙂 Thank you for letting me rant.

On Monday and Tuesday this week I went to Albertsons and Riteaid with my coupons and saved me some $$..muhlah..dollars..I love it! Here is what I came home with:

 johnson & johnson J&J coupons

Riteaid: 10 bottles of various J&J baby lotions, shampoos, soaps, and oil. I talk about how to do this deal on this post here. I paid $14.90 plus tax and will be getting back a $15 rebate check in the mail in 3-4 weeks. So that was pretty much free! (plus I spotted the ones with the extra free bottles attached to make my deal even sweeter.)

At ALbertsons they had doubler coupons in the 3-day Sunday ad that came out. I used up all mine! Here is what I came home with:
3 Hefty Storage bags – had $1/1 blinkies found in store awhile ago/doubled=
8 boxes Kashi cereal – had 3 FREE coupons plus some $1/1 coupons
2 Nestle 24-packs – .50 coupon doubled
90 Cans Chicken noodle/tomato SOUP! – used.40/4 coupons doubled
3 pkg Mrs Cubbins Croutons – .55/1 hangtag coupons on BBQ sauce doubled
1 2 Liter Mug RB – $2/1 pepsi coupon
1 Darigold Milk – .50/1 coupon found at gas station doubled
Hefty plates and cups – used $1/2 coupon doubled
couponing groceries campbells
couponing kashi

I am sure I will be back in the stores to shop at Walgreens and more Albertsons doubler goodness this week as well. Here are the totals from my shopping trips!

I was told the same thing from Rite Aid (Hwy 395) about $5 max. I think it is pure baloney, there are some coupons that are worth more than $5 for just the one. I don’t know why they have a problem when they will be getting the money back plus handling fee.

I went to the Pasco Rite Aid and took the coupons for the Johnson & Johnson baby products. I also used the $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupon. After I had paid, a supervisor came running over and asked how many coupons I had used. She said they just got instructions from corporate that you can only use $5 in coupons per transaction. She was going to make the checker void my transaction and take away half the coupons I had used. In the end, she let it go through since I politely complained that I didn’t know the policy, the policy wasn’t posted and I had already completed the transaction. She said in the future it wouldn’t be allowed. 🙁

Where did you get the Hefty coupons?

I try to shop late in the evening when the stores aren’t busy. I tried it early before 8 AM but there was only one checker and I’ll go back to PM. If I go in the busy time I only use three coupons at a time. I try to be part of the solution not the problem.

I’m jealous of your RiteAid success! They wouldn’t let me use the $5/$25 coupon! I was totally bummed!

I just made a couple trips today; 2 Albie’s transcations spent about $5 each and saved $50, and a Walgreens trip spent $6, saved $18 and got back $7 RR! My husband was in tow today and he did not complain one bit about the shopping. I have 2 more transactions planned for Albertson’s, just waiting for some rain check stuff to come in (hello Grands Biscuits!).

    Hey Karrie~
so i tried the albertson trip, but they would only allow 3 doublers to be used…did you make multiple trips? Oh and although not as good as what you did i was skipping down the aisles with savings…

Yep, you can only use 3 doublers in one transaction. However I put that little bar between my two shopping trips when its not busy and shop my two transactions right then and there. Then I will go out to the car usually and come back in for 2 more. ( I have seen people doing 5+ transactions to use all their doublers, but I personally dont like to as it can hold up the lines) Glad you are skipping with savings! Everyone should be doing that..lol
