You are going to love the strawberry oatmeal smoothie recipe that I’m sharing with you today! Really…who doesn’t love a good smoothie!? They are such an easy, on-the-go meal, perfect for everyday, busy life! I don’t know about you, but without them, most days I wouldn’t get breakfast!! The oatmeal in this smoothie truly makes it a meal, giving you the fuel you need to tackle the day! If you don’t like strawberries, try another fruit (bananas, blueberries, etc.). And freezing it ahead of time makes it super simple to pop in the blender and off you go! You’ve gotta give it a try!
Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie
The night before, mix your dry oatmeal and greek yogurt in a small bowl, cover, and place in the fridge overnight. This simple extra step will give you all those healthy, yummy cultures that aid in good digestion. Your body will thank you for it! I used a small canning jar with a reusable plastic lid. (If you didn’t get a chance to let your oatmeal sit overnight, that’s ok, you can still go ahead with the recipe…but if you have the time, it’s totally worth it!)
Next, put all of the ingredients in the blender (yogurt, oatmeal, ice, strawberries, protein powder, milk and water). For this recipe I used chocolate protein powder, you could use any flavor you like or have on hand. If you don’t have protein powder, you could also substitute a banana to make a strawberry/banana oatmeal smoothie….YUM!
Then, just blend until it’s thick and creamy. It’s that simple!! Serve with a wide straw and you’re good to go!
This strawberry oatmeal smoothie is just what you need to get your day started off right! Dee-licious!
Freezer Instructions:
To make this strawberry oatmeal smoothie even easier, place all the ingredients except the ice and water in a freezer safe zip lock bag and freeze. Then when you are ready, just throw it all in the blender along with the ice and water and blend until thick and creamy! Quick and easy-peezy!

Yes I think that must be a typo on the amount of strawberries?? I wished there was a response back about it.

Sounds fab but are these amounts just for 1 serving for one person? 16oz strawberries sounds like a lot for one serving…
