I just made this Slow Cooker Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and it was the super best ever! Thank you for the delicious recipe. Can’t wait to make more them.
Amy says
How many quarts crock pot for this recipe?
Kaite says
How much pasta do you serve it over? I don’t want it too liquidy or too dry. Thanks!
Lindsey says
So I made this and it was delicious! I made enough for a few extra freezer meals. Now on to the next!
Ashley says
Was wondering how many servings this makes?
Karrie says
This slow cooker chicken broccoli alfredo recipe makes about 6 servings.
Chrystle says
Do you dice the chicken up in cubes?
Happy.MoneySaver says
I did kind of chunk up the chicken after it had cooked but cubes would work great too!
Jenn says
By the way, I received this as part of a freezer meal exchange and it was my favorite of 6. How many adults does this recipe feed? I’m going to make it myself at home.
Happy.MoneySaver says
I would say about 4 adults but you could make it stretch with more pasta. It usually feeds my family of six with no problems!
Kristine says
Used bertelli Alfredo in a jar, made 2 batches but only put in 2 jars of sauce into the marinade/crockpot. When it was cooked, I took out the meat etc and added cornstarch to thicken, then added the other 2 jars of sauce. Came out well.
Jessica says
How would you make this meal if you don’t have a slow cooker?
Happy.MoneySaver says
If you don’t have a slowcooker you could do it two ways. One, I would throw it all in a glass 9 x 13 pan, wrap it in foil for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked. Add your noodles and your meal is done! Two, You could simmer all the ingredients in a pot for about 30 minutes until the chicken, green peppers and broccoli are fully cooked and then serve it over noodles.

Disappointed. The Alfredo sauce separated and looks really gross.
Mary says
Just a thought but if using alfredo from a jar, couldn’t you just leave it in the jar in your cupboard and then mix with other ingredients when you start up the crockpot?
elle says
Alfredo that does not separate is one of the hardest things to make. I love Alfredo but it does not like my kitchen.
Alma says
This was one of our favorite recipes out of the 50 Freezer Meal in a Day set! Thanks!
Jen A. says
I was curious about freezing the pasta. Do you put it in the crock pot uncooked, or cook it the night of eating?
Danielle says
You would make the pasta just before freezing. Don’t cook than freeze it. It would not taste good.
Melissa W says
Do you mean make the pasta before you add into the slow cooker? It should not be frozen at initial prep?
Thanks for the clarification 🙂
Karrie says
Pasta you make separately…. it doesn’t go into the crockpot.
Jenn says
I added the pasta in the slow cooker because of the “watery” comment. It turned out perfect! I used penne and the pasta absorbed the extra liquid.
Jenny says
Jenn, did you just throw in some uncooked pasta that morning, then?
Karrie says
You don’t freeze the pasta, you make it separately and it never goes into the crockpot.
Melissa W says
awesome, thanks.
Going to try using the crockpot for the first time as I’m still learning 🙂
Sara says
I was very excited about this recipe, but it didn’t turn out. I thawed it the night before, cooked in the slow cooker on low. The alfredo separated and the whole thing was watery. Any ideas on how to fix?
P.S. All the other 50 meals in one day recipes have been wonderful!
Heather Wood says
The same thing happened to me. It came out too watery. Not sure if it was from the extra juices in the chicken or frozen broccoli. To combat this problem I added some cornstarch and let it sit in the slow cooker without the lid until it thickened up 🙂
Sara says
Thanks Heather! I’ll give that a try. I was broken hearted that two more meals might go to waste!
Karrie says
Great idea Heather to add cornstarch! 🙂
Susan says
I had the same problem with the alfredo sauce seperating! I used regular jared sauce. Any suggestions- as I made 3 bags.
Candace says
Alfredo sauce is difficult to re-heat and keep the creamy consistency the next day after it’s gotten cold. I add heavy whipping cream to thicken the sauce and give it back the “rich” taste, and I usually add a dab of butter (or two).
Andrea says
Same thing happen to me. This was just terrible.
Liz says
What kind of alfredo sauce did you use?
Lisa says
Hello, I was wondering if you had a good, freezable, homemade Alfredo recipe? I have one of my own for homemade fettuccine Alfredo, but it doesn’t reheat very well the next day, so I wouldn’t trust freezing it. I don’t really care for jarred Alfredo, so I thought I would ask. Thanks
April says
I’m not sure if it freezes well, I haven’t tried, but there’s a recipe on all recipes that uses cream cheese with Parmesan & it reheats from the fridge real well. It’s called “quick & easy alfredo sauce” by Dawn Carter on allrecipes.com
Julie says
I added cooked chicken so what would be the heating directions?
Karrie says
Basically you just need to cook it until the green peppers and broccoli are fully cooked since everything else is fine. I would say simmer in a pot for 30 minutes and it should be ready to eat.
diane says
do you precook the chicken????
Karrie says
Nope, just add in raw chicken breasts and freeze. Then you would add the whole lot of it to the crockpot and cook all day.
Kristen says
Awesome!
tracey says
Hi! I was wondering when you put (3) in parenthesis does that mean how many meals you get out of the one recipe? For example, the slow cooker chicken alfredo, how many meals does that recipe make for a family of 4?
Thanks,
Tracey dillard
Karrie says
Hi Tracey, no that is how many of each recipe I make. So I would triple the amount of ingredients for slow cooker alfredo and dish them into 3 freezer bags.
Liz says
Looks good!!
